WHAT?
The Conference
The second International RAC Conference will build upon the first held in Montreal in 2008 . Our planning has taken account of comments made by participants in Montreal and sessions for 2010 will each be half day (4 hours) with 3 options for each programme session to ensure that each participant can enjoy as many of the presentations as possible.
Once again, we are bringing together speakers from all over the world and every session is included in the conference fee so there will be no extra costs to attend the presentations. The overall programme is designed to help Reflexologists to expand their knowledge and business horizons with a view to enabling more of them to move towards a full time Reflexology practice.
In addition to the half day sessions, there will be side sessions limited to 20 participants in which more hands on teaching and learning can take place.
Documentation for all half day sessions will be provided in the form of a CD so that participants do not have to carry back large quantities of paper and we can play a part in caring for the environment.
The conference fee includes all sessions, documentation on CD, welcome dinner after AGM, Conference issue of Canadian Journal of Reflexology, continental breakfast and lunch on each conference day. A reduced fee is available for participants who do not wish to take meals. A student fee is available for RAC students currently taking the RAC Foot Reflexology Course. The student fee is NOT available for members participating in other RAC courses. Please call for details.
Following the popularity of the event in Montreal, we will, again, be offering a “Meet the Speakers” breakfast on Sunday November 7th and this exciting dimension for learning, networking and questioning will be available to all participants.
We expect that the attendance this year will be even more enhanced by a large international group and we shall be promoting the conference throughout the world. RAC members who wish to attend should, therefore, ensure that they make an early reservation so that the chance to participate is not lost.
To make it easier for every RAC member to attend, we are, once again, offering a layaway plan in which members can put aside a fixed amount each month to offset the costs and save having to find a lump sum later in the year. If you book now, you can pay by instalments AND benefit from the early bird rate that is valid until September 15th. In addition, and to encourage members to save, we are offering the chance to participate in a draw for all members who undertake to layaway a minimum of $15 per month. The prize is free conference attendance a value of almost $500 and the second prize will be two tickets to the Gala Dinner an almost $200 value.
